The legend of Nils Arne Eggen

Nils Arne Eggen (1941 - Jan 2022) are one of the most underrated managers, Eggen resigned as manager for Rosenborg in 2002. Two of Eggen's last achievements were winning the Norwegian top division (11th time in a row), and qualifying for the European UEFA Champions League (8th time in a row). During his spell as manager Rosenborg also won the Norwegian football cup a number of times.
He did turn down offer from Liverpool in 1998.
The best ever manager to have coached in Norway, nobody will be near him in the near future. Nils Arne need to be more reconized outside Norway, poeple have so much to learn from him to take with you to use in everyday life.
Beating Dortmund, Milan, Real Madrid, Valencia getting in the CL semi-final.

Could probably have done remarkable things outside of Norway as well but held back by two factors. Terrible english, his charisma would have been lost in translation. He was also very much a head-coach in todays mould, during a time when the old-fashioned manager dominated the bigger leagues.

Egil Olsen was my favourite Norwegian manager.

To bad that old clips are not texteded/translated. He said that he did feel more passion to build up the Rosenborg (He did also play with one of the 12 founders of Rosenborg in the old days) and he will have a hard time with other club directors etc
