He sounds gutted and he really wanted to play for us. I bet he turns out to be a world beater now. I get the feeling if the scum would have tried to get him then the work permit would have been won on appeal....

a one and a half year deal is very short indeed. I don't understand these part-ownership deals, so maybe it's the norm.
