The Maine Road Massacre

In the top three of my favourite ever City games along with the rags semi, Newcastle when Colin returned and QPR.

Early cross, chance at the far post, Hinchcliffe.

Thanks dad for taking me to the Luton and Brentford game but not bothering with this one

Was a very special day for me had come at a very bad time in my life, just wanted to Fuck off and die somewhere, didn't want to go to the game , I couldn't take the pain of a lose to them twats they were massive favourites, went anyway what a day can say it lifted me and sorted my head out will remember it to the day I die, the 6-1 was very special but the Maine rd massacre was the best.

First game ever stood on the kippax and what a game it was, sun was out in moss side, the huge ruck in the north stand. Blitzing them in a Minute to go two nil up, Bishops diving header to send Maine road into delirium.

The rags getting back into it with a worldy by Leslie Hughes but finishing them off with a thumper of a header from Hinchliffe, how did a full back get into that position? Sure it was crimson Clive on commentry that day, me and mate used to spend the school holidays watching the VHS of that game over and over again. Little did we know we'd go till 2002 till we'd actually beat them again.

The day the ''Class of 1986'' came of age.....

For me it is the 5-1, the 10-1 and Spurs away in the cup from 3 down to win 4-3
How could I not be include the 10-1, stood in the drizzle under the north stand overhang in windy corner looking through that shit green mesh fence.

It's so difficult to just pick a few games out.

I was in the main stand with 3 others
One being my rag hf at the time
She just sat there behind her sunglasses
Fuming for most of the game, arf
Then later i went out to the Gardeners in Denton, just remember going in and that was that
Happy day and night!
