I don't think he should.

Not only do I think this game is too big of a game to come straight back into after a two week injury, but I also think Nasri has cemented his place in the first XI at this moment.

I think Nasri on a whole has been better than David since those Chelsea games in The States in my opinion.

Sam I know that you have advocated this a couple of times. Kudos to Samir for his game against Plzen, but when it comes to the critical games against top teams, I am 99% certain that Manuel will pick Merlin ahead of Nasri.

Silva is a big game player. I am not yet convinced that Samir has proven that. So for me I would definitely pick David if fit, and I am convinced that Manuel will do the same.

Yeah I do agree with that mate.

If Silva is performing straight away in training this week then get him in, he is simply our best creative option on his day.

I am just thinking form with Nasri, it has seemed a rare occasion to see Nasri consistently in good form, but I guess having both players available ready to perform then we are all good either way.

Would you play them both, or would you go with with Silva and Navas? Or would you go with someone else other than Navas and Nasri?

I think Pellers will go with Silva and Navas. I know that Mancini played Merlin and Nasri together quite a bit, but they do tend to get in one another's way and as others have said Samir's best position is central, which is the space that Silva should occupy.

In this game one of the critical factors will be our left side defence. We somehow need to tighten that because Kolarov could be exposed against Valencia. I wonder if Clichy is fit? I actually don't know what his injury is, but he also tends to plays well in big games.

Hope we fookin twat them and shut em up again!

Thanks for posting that.
I put up with watching that plastic **** for less than 30 seconds and it nearly cost me a PC screen.
Why any self respecting blue would want to watch that I have no idea.
What a condesceding fucking wanker and why does he have all that face fuzz to make his mouth look like an arsehole.
Quite apt really because all that came out of it was shite!

No wonder everybody hates them!

To be honest, I laughed my arse off watching this video.

Of course, he talks a lot of bollocks but it's not insulting in any way and it's fecking funny.

Not that funny mate. Unless you generally laugh at nob heads wearing reds shirts.
The fat bald one looks like he is still living with his mother
Bless

I was thinking the same, heart says Silva, as they're scare of what he can do, but logically, Nasri has been the player he promised to be since Mancini left, on Tuesday he tracked back and helped out Kolarov many times, and linked up with Yaya very well, if Clichy is fit then same team apart from Kolarov will give us pace down both wings.
If we resume where we left off 2nd half, then I'm confident we can win this game

man u will swamp the ref and linesmen at every decision especially giggs they do it regularly these days as palace found out but it shows in the derby most as last year they surrounded the officials at every decision including throw ins even if it was for themselves the rags have learnt to cheat well the three dives last week payed off well as they were awarded a first and winning goal .come on fa you have got your 3 billion now you dont need to pamper. well got that of me chest anyone got decent odds on which city player rio will physically attack this year its normally the smallest player or one being held i would go for nasri but i think rio is scared of his temper so i am going for navas

-- Fri Sep 20, 2013 7:16 am --

man u will swamp the ref and linesmen at every decision especially giggs they do it regularly these days as palace found out but it shows in the derby most as last year they surrounded the officials at every decision including throw ins even if it was for themselves the rags have learnt to cheat well the three dives last week payed off well as they were awarded a first and winning goal .come on fa you have got your 3 billion now you dont need to pamper. well got that of me chest anyone got decent odds on which city player rio will physically attack this year its normally the smallest player or one being held i would go for nasri but i think rio is scared of his temper so i am going for navas

I'm not confident at all, dreading it.

same here, van rapist and weetabix head looking half decent together. Along with the chances we keep giving to other teams, think them 2 bastards will mop them up.

4-2 to us.
Us being 4-0 at half time, them to claw 2 back with last 15 mins to go.

Navas 2
yaya 1
Kun 1

-

weetabix 1
rapist 1

You read it here 1st.

There's more chance of Gary Glitter being the next host on Children in Need.

Really difficult game to call. On balance I think we should win because we are at home and we are the better team. When you think of our home record it's pretty incredible with only 2 defeats in God knows how long - one at the end of the season when we didn't give a toss and the flukey shite one against the flukey shite.

But since it is a Derby - and an important one - anything could happen.

That said, I am going for a City win. 0-0 at half time and then us pouring on the pressure, running out 3-0 winners.

Our 2nd half performances are always much better - dominant in fact. So as long as we haven't lost it by half time, I see us winning.

Think its as simple as, keep Rooney quiet and everything else will take care of itself.

Give him the space and respect and he'll ruin us.

If we keep our left side protected and swamp midfield we'll get the better of them.

I'd go with fern shielding the back 4 and mopping up and Yaya and Milner harassing in the middle. Control the midfield.

I'd also go with navas. Give that **** Evra something to worry about and stop him overlapping on their left and throwing crosses in.

First goal vital IMO.
