Not only do I think this game is too big of a game to come straight back into after a two week injury, but I also think Nasri has cemented his place in the first XI at this moment.
I think Nasri on a whole has been better than David since those Chelsea games in The States in my opinion.
Sam I know that you have advocated this a couple of times. Kudos to Samir for his game against Plzen, but when it comes to the critical games against top teams, I am 99% certain that Manuel will pick Merlin ahead of Nasri.
Silva is a big game player. I am not yet convinced that Samir has proven that. So for me I would definitely pick David if fit, and I am convinced that Manuel will do the same.
Yeah I do agree with that mate.
If Silva is performing straight away in training this week then get him in, he is simply our best creative option on his day.
I am just thinking form with Nasri, it has seemed a rare occasion to see Nasri consistently in good form, but I guess having both players available ready to perform then we are all good either way.
Would you play them both, or would you go with with Silva and Navas? Or would you go with someone else other than Navas and Nasri?
I think Pellers will go with Silva and Navas. I know that Mancini played Merlin and Nasri together quite a bit, but they do tend to get in one another's way and as others have said Samir's best position is central, which is the space that Silva should occupy.
In this game one of the critical factors will be our left side defence. We somehow need to tighten that because Kolarov could be exposed against Valencia. I wonder if Clichy is fit? I actually don't know what his injury is, but he also tends to plays well in big games.
