The Masters Golf

Did he hit a single bad shot other than his approach on 18? Great round. But he’s been in positions like this before and Augusta’s back nine has a way of changing the narrative very, very quickly. I’d like Rahm to come back as I own him in my pool but his putting fell apart and that 8th hole was worthy of me. Wouldn’t mind seeing DJ win but hoping for a good tournament tomorrow.
DJ has been in the lead before at majors but he’s never been in the position he’s in now. He’s in complete physical and mental control, the kind you very rarely see. He’s got a coldness and ruthlessness to what he’s doing too, his post round interview was clinical. To top it off all the chasing pack have made errors that suggest they are the ones most likely to fall away rather than challenge. Only Eory could really put DJ under pressure from here but he’s too far back.

DJ is in total control and I just can't see him letting this slip as he is too far in front. Shame Rory had a shocker on the 1st round but unfortunately he is too far back.

Said that about how composed and cold Molinari was last year and he fell apart, same with Spieth. Augusta is Augusta and Amen Corner has little mercy with any flicker of nerves.

Wow, Tiger now playing his 8th shot on a par three out of the bunker, looks like he will end up with a 10.

And I thought i would never be able to emulate him :)

shame he didn't do it last year.
That's another thread. I've been up and down on Tiger his whole career. I thought Earl was a first-class asshole stage father, which made me feel sorrier for Tiger. But then again you're responsible for your own decisions and he made some colossally bad ones, and his whining/excuses about his physical condition during his period wandering in the desert were really, really lame. But we'll never see domination in the game again like Tiger at the Open at Pebble in 2000 -- whatever you think of the man, that won't be topped. Greatest golf ever played. I had to root for him last year. It won't ever be like Jack in 86 or Crenshaw in 95 emotionally but it was up there for redemption stories.

True. As they keep reminding us, the holes to come can certainly throw up some opportunities .... but I notice Smith has laid up with his 2nd the the 13th. Maybe he’s hoping DJ will have a meltdown!

My last hope of a bit of ew cash is disappearing with rahm very quickly.
Same for me. As if his slide down the leaderboard wasn’t bad enough, he’s hardly been shown on screen since the disaster at the 8th yesterday.

Absolutely, like he’s got in his car and buggered off after that shot at the 8th yesterday.
