Out of interest, I’m too young to have been watching Tiger in his pomp (unfortunately) - do you prefer watching this where there’s a few who could win or his sheer uncatchable excellence?

Long way to go. Wouldn't mind him winning his first major but luck usually only lasts so long. He's a fine player thoug but not sure he has the nerve. It will be interesting to see.

Probably the 2nd best ever but there were also good players back on those days too.

To be honest I preferred those days but not so much because of Woods but because of the variety of players and swings back then. Players like Furyk were successful with really unorthodox swings. Shorter hitters also won plenty.

Each era has something to offer.

I like it to be a few in with it, a procession is boring, this course is amazing you can be out of it, then go birdie eagle birdie and be back in then double bogey the next.

What I don't like is players like Young going in the trees 5 or 6 times and bouncing out on the fairway. I like the winner to have played well. You need a certain amount of luck but he should be on -7

Not really fair. He had a shocking start first round and was 4 over after 7. He's played the best golf since then and deserves his lead.

McIlroy has had a few lucky bounces too. Part of the game at Augusta.

He was 4 over because he made mistakes, going into the trees 5/6 times at speed and ending up in the fairway isnt just a few lucky bounces.

Jammy bloke starts badly and then gets more than fair share of luck has played the best golf? Yeah okay pmsl.

McIlroy has crashed into the trees and bounced out kindly plenty of times too in this tournament.
