The media, us and the rags - the truth

Even my dad turns the analysis of if it isn't Neville which for a rag say's a fair bit i guess.

He hates Yorke as a pundit and tells me "you could have told me that" as a squirming shit my mum just popped out, charming i know.

There was a particular newspaper I used to buy daily a few years ago until I detected a distinctly anti Man City tone in it's publications. One Saturday I was working and I knew I wouldn't be busy I thought what the hell, I'll buy a copy. I turned the back page over and Newcastle to slay City was the headline. Man City were challenging Man United for the title at the time and this newspaper thought it was fair for Man City to be persecuted in that way. I was appalled. It was downright irresponsible to print something like that on a national tabloid.

Not 'irresponsible' as such imo.
The values of traditional reporting or at least quality reporting doesn't have the same shock value.
You buy the paper on that wow factor if your daft which as 'the sun' still exists is testement to such a mentality existing in the UK.

Also some people have found themselves needing to break the basic decencies of proper reporting to put food on the table.
This would seemingly involve being a sheep regarding reporting about utd conferences.

The stench of obfuscation the rags use is repulsive to me, indeed all obfuscation is.

You can but laugh at some of the utter horseshit in there. A proud record dating back to 1937?! How fucking meaningless is that when prior to the advent of the Premier League virtually every club in the land recruited 90% of their squads locally. It's laughable, but again it's out there for the masses to gormlessly drink in and repeat as fact......
And surprisingly no mention of the last time an "all English" side won the League Title?

Yep, they can go back to "1937" b ut they don,t know about 1968. incredible.
CTID.

The Times newspaper yesterday:

An almost full page article on '12 players to exit City'. All about who we are selling at a great loss in the summer and why they have failed etc etc

On the exact opposite page an almost full page on... Phil Jones!
On how great he is / going to be. His qualities, 'future England captain etc etc etc.

Coincidence? I very much doubt it.
Agenda? Almost certainly.

What I also noticed in virtually all of the papers over the weekend was the match report on our game against West Ham.
3 papers that I read gave an almost identical report that was without a lie 95% about Lescott having to leave City to save his England career with the last (small) papragraph explaining who scored the goals and noting Joe Hart's cock up (the 5th time this season apparently where he had directly cost us a goal so we were told)
I just don't believe that 3 different reporters working for 3 different newspapers independently came up with virtually identical articles - all majoring on Lescott leaving and not the actual game itself!

Coincidence - No
Agenda? Most certainly.

I often just scan the back pages of the newspapers in the shops and I have actually found myself being slightly pleased if there is not a negative story about us on some topic or another - that's how bad it has become.

This , sadly , is how I've come to feel.

BTW let's not forget The Times = murdoch paper.. murdoch = Sky.. sky cashcow = rags....

i missed the west ham game thru work. saw the goals on the official website. both were works of art. some of our passing and moving was of the highest quality, almost world class, certainly too much for a determined, but outclassed westham team.

what did i see in the papers? lescott will leave, joe hart fuck up, andy carroll this, andy caroll fucking that.

The fast flowing pass and move football from nasri, silva tevez sergio and yaya barely got a mention.some folK on this website like to call city fans "precious"...get to fuck you dickheads, and more importantly, get behind your team-dont be so obsessed with being fair ,balanced and saying the right thing..get behind your team.........if, in fact, Manchester City F.C. is your team.

you know they dont care about us?
we dont even impinge on their conciousness
they never think about us

I note that the Telegraph have been banned by Newcastle Utd and The Telegraph have responded with this article.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/10034281/Newcastle-Uniteds-attack-on-The-Telegraph-leaves-world-holding-its-breath.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... reath.html</a>

Please Vicky Kloss, you just know that it is time to ban known rag reporters - hopefully starting with Mogodon (Mark Ogdon) at the Telegraph....

Here's another gem from the world's cnutiest newspaper. As to who painted the '20' on the shed, well it doesn't take a rocket scientist. The Daily Mail reporter himself looks a knocking bet to me, in order to justify this latest desperate piece of sneering........

How many titles is that now? United fan sprays No 20 on to shed at City's training ground

Mario Balotelli may have left Manchester City, but there is not shortage of practical jokers ready to take his place at their Carrington training ground.
Someone, and it can only be presumed it was a United fan, has sprayed the number 20 onto a shed, reminding the City players every time they come to work just how far behind their neighbours they are.
By winning the Premier League this season, United brought up their 20th top-flight title, with Liverpool trailing in second on 18.

City currently sit 14 points adrift of their rivals, and only have the FA Cup to redeem their season which fell away during the middle. They dropped far too far away from United in the Premier League, and lost out to Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Ah, just realised this is the same article as featured in the MUEN.......apologies for the double coverage
