The Michael Oliver Penalty Thread

I did thanks.

The point of the post was really saying we wouldn't have gotten all three but I'll let you rant on about diving if it makes you happy.

You must watch our matches with your eyes closed if you think we don't go down at the slightest touch already.
We need to get better at it sharpish then as we don't seem to be getting the rewards for it others are!
Thanks for letting me rant on this public forum too, that's very gentlemanly of you.

Again see the original post you quoted.

We don't get penalties when Aguero gets taken out at knee height, getting better at diving is irrelevant, probably dependent on Asian betting markets.

Off Michal Oliver probably non . Looking back on my original post, which I wrote in a fit of peak and slightly pissed, is probably wrong . All the penalties are soft but in my opinion, in today’s game they are penalties, would they be awarded to us, your right, I’m not sure Even with VAR.

Well, any doubt you had about that has just been removed.

I take your point but, official channels offer no prospect of a fair hearing let alone change. The cartel or the hateful 8 call all the shots within the FA and the PL - they also have PGMOL dancing to their tune. The press lap up Liverpool or United success and everything is in place for a Rag / Dipper top 2. Only a well crafted public pronouncement backed up by evidence and stats can change or challenge the existing paradigm I’m afraid. i remember Wenger throwing the stat out about the number of pens Riley had given the Rags seriously ruffled a few feathers.
Fair comment.

I wonder if teams are deliberately playing him now. It's obvious that he gives a penalty for absolutely anything, so when a team see his name on the sheet, I bet they tell the players to go down as much as possible, even more than with other refs.
