The Midland Marple Bridge

Been there a hundred times midweek late afternoon after a walk. The food is not bad. Always seems a little under-staffed. I can imagine it's heaving Saturday night as the locals have money to burn :-)

Anyone know this place? What's it like on a Saturday night? Food, drink, dress code etc?
It's good mate, no dress code to speak of, quite lively and the food is great.

Decent pub , although last time I ate there food was nice but not much of it .. I prefer the Norfolk Arms just across the road , good food and excellent beer selection also live music on thursdays

Wasn't it once owned by former City director Ian Niven? The Devonshire Arms up the road in Mellor does some nice grub.

Think it was the Royal Scot he had an interest in. Is just round the corner. A Robbies house if I recall
