The Milanese Derby Tonight.

Weren't Inter down in 15th place only a few weeks ago? Now they are 5th and looking for another Champions League place. Get Tevez signed pronto.

Yep 15th to 5th, only 6 points off the lead. Ranieri's done a hell of a job turning that team around. Zanetti and Milito were excellent today, Zanetti especially impressed.

I plan to watch the AC V Inter match tonight. Just wondering if any of our Italian friends on here (or anyone else) give us a picture how this fixture compares with some of our derbies and semi-derbies (say City V the Rags, Dippers V Scummers or Celtic V Rangers? Is is that level of intensity between the two Milanese clubs?
Nothing compares to the Milanese Derby, mate!
I mean: it's the most important Derby clash in Europe, as far as concerns honours and history. There's no football fixture between two local rivals - anywhere in Europe - with 10 Champions League (7+3) on the pitch, 36 League titles (18+18), 7 Fifa World Cup/Intercontinental (4+3) and so on. Nothing could be compared to AC vs Internazionale; maybe Barcelona vs Espanyol? no; Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid? no; Liv'pool vs Everton? no; Bayern Munich vs Munich 1860? no.

Moreover, unlike other rivalries in Milanese Derby there are two sides on the pitch and the youngest (Inter Milan) were founded following a rebellion, something like a "schism" from the oldest one (AC).
I think AC Milan v Inter Milan Derby is something unmatchable, sort of Siblings conflict.
