The Most Competitive Premier League Ever

Swansea have upgraded considerably for the new season. Canas looks a player and they've signed two other good players as well I believe. It's not just the top six that make a league. The competitiveness will come from the weaker teams in the league bridging the gap. Very few easy games next season.

Chelsea will be right in amongst it as the whole place will get a lift with the 'Special one' back and they will hit the ground runnning this time.As for the rags...not sure. They have a tough set of opening fixtures. If they stutter the discontent with Moyes will grow, but if they do well they will also take some stopping.Us?I have no idea,i am hoping we kick on and blow teams away like a couple of years ago with a new attacking style but it will be touch and go.Arsenal will also be stronger this year,so interesting indeed.

We hit the ground running every time. We usually start the season very well, then do something to shoot ourselves in the foot (sack a manager, kick a ballboy, or Terry sleeps with somebody's wife) and it collapses around Christmas before we make a comeback at the end when it counts. The three seasons under Roman where we didn't drop the ball over that Christmas period (Mourinho's first stint and under Ancelotti) we won the league.
Get Cavani and you will be favourites.

I think (hope) it could be a 5 way race next season. All depends on what happens in the transfer window.

Very, very wishful thinking. At best it will be a three horse race next season, but there is no guarantee of that. Chelsea could even run away with things.

I think it's difficult to evaluate until after the window closes and transfer business is done. At this point I would have to say Chelsea are favorites imo but we don't know what the teams are going to look like by August.

Sorry, can't see it being anything other than City, Chelsea and rags being top 3 with Arsenal and Spuds fighting out 4th.

City and Chelsea already have sufficient class players to fend off anyone below the top 5 from last season. Despite Moyes I think the rags will have enough momentum from last season to at least finish 3rd.

Liverpool, Saints and Villa ( my 3 picks for the best of the rest) haven't got enough to make a serious bid for top 4. Think back to when Newcastle were challenging for top 4 the season we won the title. They were beating the teams below them but we dominated the game at their place. Class will out.

Would you still say that if arsenal get shrek and higuain?

Yes. Wenger can't build a defence to save his life, all his early success was built on the defence he inherited. I'd be more worried if he got Tony Adams on boards and let him build one. Without a defence all Arse are is a "we'll score 1 you score 2" team

I made a similar comment earlier, but Tottenham and Arsenal are too far from the top 3 and unlikely to catch up in one transfer window. It would cost near 100 million for both teams to win it and I dont see that happening.

I don't think Spurs are as far off from the top if hey can keep Bale.

Paulinho, Bale, Sandro, Dembele, Kaboul, Walker, Caulker and Vertonghen are all great players. If Levy really wants to challenge he should spunk the cash for a big money Striker.

I think we'll get David Villa.
