The most depressing film..

Mulholland drive was genius viewing the first time, but find it too dark/depressing when I've tried to view it since

Eraserhead depressed and horrified me first time watching when I was about 13. I've seen it since and it still has the same effect. Good though.

That was hard viewing the first time I watched it. The black and white grimness of the whole film didn’t help.

Not so much depressing, more “when is anything going to happen?”
Watched it as I’d been there but had no idea about the plot.
I guess the director had no idea either…..

Incidentally, in the book, one chapter is called The Queen Is Dead which was the inspiration for a particular Manchester 80’s 4 piece beat combo naming their 3rd album.
