The most depressing group you have ever heard?

Looking at the time of NZBlues post and yours, I'm a bit disappointment to discover you don't set your alarm for 5am to get in a couple of hours of hating the bequiffed one gobshite before breakfast! :-)
Very seldom I'm asleep after 5. One of the drawbacks of FOC status, you don't sleep as well as you used to. Well; I don't, anyway.

Fixed, by the way.

Nearly all the rap shit or whatever they call it these days, there's not an ounce of joy in the music, it's all crime, guns and depressing song matter littered with bad language. Don't get me wrong I'm not adverse to a good swear word but they take it to far.

Adele is depressing as fuck as well.

Has to be Joy Division. Although there is a beauty about them. The fact Ian Curtis laid his sould bare in his lyrics, then actually killed himself actually emphasises the darkness of the music.

I don't find the Smiths depressing at all. Save for a few numbers, the music is actually very upbeat.

More jolly than depressing I'd say.
I know the sound of their "music" is not downbeat (as in typically depressing tunes) but they depress the fuck out of me because they are so unbelievably fucking talentless and shit

Don't mind them myself as far as pop bands go, if I hear them on the radio. Much worse pop bands out there, and I think they wrote songs. Now have Robert Di Niros's waiting in my head :)

In their lowest moods, Blur. They made some beautifully upsetting music in their time.

It's over
You don't need to tell me
I hope you're with someone who makes you feel safe
in your sleeping tonight
I won't kill myself trying to stay in your life
I got no distance left to run
