The most expensive piece of clothing you've bought

Any number of Stone Island jumpers and cardies back in the day. It was almost an obsession to see how much I could spend in 'Life' on one item, then go home and get bollocked for it off the then mrs. haha.

Thankfully I saw the light and realised what a complete waste of money it was.

Tell me about it, before i had an house and bills to pay i used to spend most of my wages on clothes from 'Life'. Bought numerous Stone Island items, still have some of the jumpers i bought now although very rarely wear them, bought a jacket from there once and it was the thinest material you could ever imagine and it was £340. Not been in there for years but it's still going strong

A lad at work got me into it. He took me to a shit hot place in Nottingham which pissed all over Life. He's mid 40's now and still at it. I think there comes a point where you've just got to turn it in, money or no money!

£80 Levi jeans to compliment my Gazelles springs to mind. I tried alot of the regular High Street stores like Topman and H&M but all the jeans were designed for people with 28 inch waists. Skinny fuckers.

City shirts feel like an extravagance these days.

£83 of a pair of football boots. But clothing? Probably £35 on a City top.

Outside of football or sport, it was £32 on a pair of grey jeans last year. I thought they were £16 in the sale, and when the cashier scanned them they came up as £32. Luckily, I had more than enough on me.

How much did you have? What did you do with the rest of your money?

A Hugo Boss coat whilst pissed up in Aberdeen on NYE 2000. Was reduced from £750 to just £499!
That same evening was spent in Stonehaven where they walk the streets swinging fireballs round their heads. That was also the year that one came off and hit the barrier in front of the crowd. And guess who was at the front with his new coat on. I fought my way through the crowd almost screaming at anyone in the way. St Johns, having seen me pushing my way through the crowd, ran across and asked if I'd been burned and needed treatment. When I explianed that I was fine but there'd be hell to pay if my new coat had been burned they walked away - obvioulsy not fans of Hugo's gear.

I've probaby worn that coat twice since - too worried it'll get nicked or damaged.

And only if there's a sale on

too true

Dearest was probably a Rockport coat for about £120 a good few years back. I have a rule when buying clothes - if it ain't in a sale, don't buy it
