Spent my 16th in Watson’s on the sensimilla and Special Brew, Broadfield Rd.As a silly young lad I had to do community service, part of that was gutting the old Robinson/Watson’s shebeen, which was off baraclough rd (if I remember right), there were bullet holes throughout the cellar.
Used to drink in them all, The Huzzar, The Gamecock, Denmark, Crown, Old Abbey, all madhouses full of characters, great days.

Do you mean the rugby club on the opposite corner? Wracking my brain now trying to think what it was called, it was a shithole.
I only knew it as the "dogs home", but it did have a couple of pitches. I knew the owner a big "large" bloke and I am struggling to remember his name. It should have been called "The Alammo".

Maybe faux pas mock Tudor, think it served as a cricket pavilion at one time. We lived on viccy Avenue east, and I did play for the gardeners arms football team for a while.
The black was painted timber maybe the white was asbestos. -;)
