The most mental pub in Manchester?

What were the three in Hulme on Chester Road, The Pomana Palace, a Hydes pub ad one other ? They were pretty lively and you were always guaranteed to be able to get your wife/girlfriend a birthday present, even if it was a socket set.
I had my stag do in those pubs.
Best mate used to live above that, landlord was a well known member of the Rag mob. We had a party there once thinking he was away and got chased down Chester Road with a baseball bat and a pitbull.

The Millstone is a naughty boozer. Karaoke at 1pm on a Saturday...

Used to drink in The Albert, Withington quite a bit as well.

Used to go in there late 80s ish , think it was called the S&K then it was alright then for a late drink then & mulberry’s , but your right it did go shit .

Severe's, eh?

First time I had seen vodka jelly.

Moody as fuck.

Nothing beats the Claremont though, hands down.

I went to Claremont school and we were always warned about it growing up around there.

Still remember that bloke poor arguing with someone over the Eubank fight on the TV and the other fella just stabbed him in the neck and killed him.

The milstone is hilarious for all the wrong reasons, I pass by to catch up with Park Side Charlie, who runs the door, now and again, however, I think the landlord is related to H.G. Wells or something.....
