Taken from 2009-10 season (not a specific date but when all teams had played 14 games towards end Nov)
1 Chelsea 14 +28 36 - 8 points down (28)
2 Manchester United 14 +17 31 - 3 points down (28)
3 Tottenham Hotspur 14 +14 26 - 4 points down (22)
4 Arsenal 14 +18 28 - 2 points down (26)
5 Liverpool 14 +11 23 - 4 points down (19)
6 Aston Villa 14 +8 23 - 6 points down (17)
7 Manchester City 14 +7 25 - Same (25)
Everyone around us has dropped from 2 to 8 points from last seasons totals apart from City. Most of the top teams have to play each other at least twice so they are going to be losing points relative to us - as long as we win our games of course :-)
Our next 7 games are Stoke (a), Bolton (h), West Ham (a), Everton (h), Newcastle (a), Villa (h), Blackpool (h)
My big worries are for the 2nd half of the season when we have Scum, Chelsea, Arsenal & Dippers away but if we can hold them to away draws and maybe scrape an odd win this could be a good season for us.
good analysis, if there's a positive to us having to play the bigger teams away it's that they are spread out over the course of the second half of the season. Arsenal away in January, United away in Feb, Chelsea away in March, Dippers in April. Tons of games in between those to pick up points so if we lose or drop points it wouldn't be the end of the world.
