The Non-Moaners Thread

There are basic distinctions to be drawn about the club in general; then this season; then last night.
Anybody who moans about the club in general needs to go and support Sunderland for a bit. With all due respect to one of the most agreeable posters on here, @Stockport mackem They're a big club, with a long history, who are in the third division (because I call it by what it really is). As we were. The difference is, we were just on a visit for a season. They can't get out of it.
Anybody who moans about the season in general needs to go and support Manchester United. Yet another season without trophies. Or Tottenham Hotspur. Years and years without trophies. Not that winning trophies is the central reason for supporting this or any other club.
As for last night. It was a bitter disappointment, a match that we really had the means to win for once, and there are legitimate criticisms to be levelled at both the coach and the players. Without resorting to insulting them.

We won the league, Karen.

You've been posting here too long and the negativity, from dubious sources, is clearly getting you down, but try not to forget we're not the "runners up" - we're the champions.

Literally MOTD will announce "Manchester City are the champions" while showing our colours on the trophy for the entirety of next season.
What has this got to do with my reaction to the op, see above

Been a great season. Saddest part for me has not being able to attend and be privileged to watch this side on a weekly basis.

As @cookster said earlier bar the Fa Cup final we played and competed in every other possible match this season. Absolutely tremendous side and the only disappointment I have about last night is the players and management team never got to bring home the cup their application and attitude deserved over the course of the season.

I am actually excited to see how we will develop our squad. I expect us to be stronger next season. We will challenge for CL again.

No, but the op was saying we got to the final and the fa semi, neither mean anything as we lost
That only means we were competitive to a certain point , we’ve still had an excellent season . At the moment this defeat is raw and we will only feel better after the next game, which unfortunately is in August.

The silver lining to this cloud is the added focus it will bring to our summer recruitment. Kane / Haaland and Grealish will make us absolute world beaters. I imagine we’re already favourites for next season’s CL, recruiting those two will shorten our odds considerably.

A period of domestic dominance lies ahead. We’re champions, it’s a beautiful sunny day, pour yourselves a drink and reminisce about the wonderful season we’ve just enjoyed and anticipate more good times to come.
