The Official Ashes 09 Thread

1-1 for the series, England looking down the barrel here. They need 20 wickets at the oval and I'm afraid to say their current bowling attack is no where near up to it. There is a man. A forgotten son of English cricket who many believe should be reinstated at the opening bowler position. You're only as good as your last test and this bloke took 10fa. A mastermind, a superstar... Andy Caddick where art thou.

Surely England must drop at least two out of these - Cook, Bopara, Bell & Collingwood.

Key, Joyce & Trott are all bang in form and would do a better job or maybe even a shock recall for Mark Ramprakash....................

Bopara should definately be dropped - not only is he abysmal with the bat but his fielding is woeful.
Harmison - just no control with the ball despite 2 wickets.
Looks like they've really stuffed this series up

Switching to Australia for a sec, any chance Mr Cricket could be dropped after this series ?

Bradley Hodge, a proud Victorian snubbed again. Would captain England.

Rubbish.

Symonds is a better player, Hodge ( the money grabbing ******) is past his best and I think Stuart Law was better at the same age, he only got one very short chance.

Hodges superior international and domestic record aswell as his ability to step up in big games speaks for itself.

His wife is only ill when the IPL finishes.

Not for Lancashire it doesn't. He let us down as is never welcome back.
