Its whether the players are not good enough or the coach and his staff including the scouting are not good enough.

i dont really follow the youth team much but didnt this manager win the reserve league last season ?

The Youth Cup is the U18 team isn't it, which would be Sadler rather than Welsh (what is Welsh gonna do all season now that we're out of the NextGen? Does he do other tasks?). The U18s are a lot better as a team than the EDS at the minute despite many of the players being the same.
 
Dont forget it is the Youth Cup tie vs Corby at Hyde tonight. 7pm kick off.
