The rest of the family are at home in Haugesund.

"It will be sad not to have daily contact, but we'll see how it gets. Perhaps we also strikes us down in Manchester for a time, "said mother Anita Bådsvik Samuelsen.

Said no to Real Madrid

The parents of great talent from Haugesund has long held the cards close to chest, but now they frankly about her son's amazing story.

It all began when He was nine years old. He then trained with favorite club Manchester United.

Since he has been visiting several of Europe's best clubs.

He was only ten years old when he was spotted by Liverpool and invited to stay.

– He was in Liverpool approximately ten times from ten to twelve years, telling his father.

Then came the Real Madrid on the Court. When Martin was twelve years old, he trained two weeks with the Spanish club.

"I played an international tournament for Real Madrid in Tenerife, where clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona and Inter took part, says Martin.

Real Madrid would bring him to the Club, but parents said no.

– Due to Martin's young age, and a good development deals on home turf, it was never any agreement. It was better to stay in Haugesund, says his father.

Discovered in Haugesund

Meanwhile, Chelsea would have him on the visit.

– But we said no. There was too much travel, says his father.

In 2010, Chelsea contact again, and when he trained with the Club for several weeks.

A few months later made an English Scout interest to Martin when he played for young boys ' team to Djerv 1919 in Haugesunds Avis Cup.

Last spring, he was invited to Manchester City, and when he was offered positions in team Youth Academy to the Club.

Her mother stressed that school is the most important.

– There is a lot that can happen, and the most important thing is that he has several legs to stand on. But now he his, and it is to play football, "she said.

The parents of Martin Samuelsen selected early on that his son had talent.

– He already had excellent motor skills when he was 2-3 years, and he had a winner determination I haven't seen, telling his father Fred Samuelsen.

Martin distinguished himself early on, and eventually, he was also playing with those who were older than him.

– He was a head start, "said the father.

He pointed to the well-known recipe to be good: one must train at least 10,000 hours to reach the top.

Martin has trained 20 hours a week since he was eight years.

– But many of those hours come by themselves with the practices and games, stressed the danger.

Even Martin says that he never gets tired of football.

"I will not be bored. I will be disappointed if I play a bad match, "said Martin, before he adds:

– But it helps me just to train even more.

Championship outfit Burnley are closing on a deal to secure the permanent signing of Ben Mee from Manchester City.

The England Under-21 full-back joined the Clarets on loan for the season in the summer and has gone on to make 17 Championship starts as Eddie Howe's side push for promotion.

The Clarets boss has been impressed with the contribution of the 22-year-old and is hopeful of securing his services on a permanent deal this month.

Howe said: "We have been in discussions with Ben and his agent and hopefully we're not far away."

"We have been in discussions with Ben and his agent and hopefully we're not far away."

Mee himself is happy with life at Turf Moor.

He said: "I'm really enjoying it here. Everyone is happy and the training is good."

If Mee does move on a permanent deal to Turf Moor, he will follow in the footsteps of Kieran Trippier, who signed for £900,000 from City on Tuesday after enjoying a successful loan spell.

-

That's £900k, £400k, and £100k I've read now for Trippier's transfer fee, no one seems to know for sure!

All the best to Mee when he leaves, a shame as he was a natural leader for us at youth and reserve level, but not good enough to make it in the first team.

sad to see players leaving that were with the club since they were in the single digits but football is cruel. We're really doing a clear-out to let all the young players we've signed the past year or two to blossom.

And I would say 900k is the most realistic of those 3 prices, mate.

It alright signing all the best young talent in the world but you need a quality coach to bring it all together. Its like having the best F1 car on the grid and putting that Frank Spencer at the wheel to drive for your team for the season.

Untill we go and poach some top dog youth coach from the likes Barca who works in dove tail with Bobby and the senior set up. It needs sorting instead of bringing all the talent in get the right man. Okay I may harp on about the King Maker but now I realise what we need right now may be even beyond him. But this is the Hughes situation all over again apart apart from this clowns just called Welsh and not Welsh.

First of Welsh is not involved in the youth team people like Sellers, mark allen, sadler etc are involved with that and how do you know whether thee people are not good enough ?
Also liverpool under benitez brought all spanish coaches into there youth system and they haven't brought any notable players though recently have they ?
