3-0. Game over. At least it should be.
I guess if they are preparing for a first team fixture they cant also prepare for a youth game in training. Plus we probably knew swindon were shitgreasedupdeafguy said:ft won 4-1 and we play fulham in the next round, wonder why saurez and rekik didn't play they have hardy played any competitive matches this season.

They have played like 30 minutes first team football though and have only played something like 10 reserve/youth games this will not help there development.mansour's tow ropes said:I guess if they are preparing for a first team fixture they cant also prepare for a youth game in training. WNRH said:Well done to the young blues, will try to get to the Fulham game in the next round at Hyde. The whole academy/EDS/Next Generation set up has been a mess this season. The decision to pull out of the reserve league was a massive balls up. There has been no game time whatsoever for the majority of lads we have. How many games has Abdul Razak played this season let alone the young Suarez and Rekik. Young players need to play games to develop.

Suarez and Rekik could still play for the U18s, Suarez has on occasion but not that much. I wonder if it is something written into their contracts that guarantee a spot in the first team squad? There are benefits from training with the first team but I'd rather they were playing as part of the U18 setup than struggling to make the first team bench.
As for pulling out of the reserve league, I sincerely think the club (rather arrogantly) believed that the EDS would stroll into the knockout stages of the NextGen tournament but instead they lost every game and are now without much to do. Razak, Wabara, Roman, and others again need loan deals sorted, luckily there is a February~March loan window for if we can't sort anything out in the next two weeks before the January window shuts. Has Gai Assulin even kicked a football since the pre-season EDS friendlies?
