A few on this thread know a hell of a lot about the scum :-)

It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Would love a few mancunians in our team in the future. But I do agree with the statement that the rags do get the best local talent because they have a track record of actually bringing them through to the senior squad. If you were a young player being scouted by both would you go to City who bring in a lot of foreign players and don't really promote players to the senior squad or sign for the rags where there is the possibility of making the step up the the senior team?

Maybe in the past. But remember this season we have stuffed the rags at every age group from u14 down. From what I see we are now getting the best local kids and many the better lads other clubs (inc Rags) want to come to us...FACT. Believe me there are loads of local kids from U14 down and within that there are fair promotion of that are "proper" blues.

Some facts for those who believe there are few Mancunians in our academy.

Our academy players are from:

Manchester: 44%
Other Greater Manchester: 33% (includes Denton, Prestwich, Reddish, Trafford, Broughton, Ordsall).
Other: 23% (Mainly areas in the North West).

The future's bright.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before (or even if it's bollocks or not) but saw this on the wiki page for next seasons champions league.

For the first time, the teams who qualify for the group stage will also qualify for the newly formed 2013–14 UEFA Youth League, a competition available to players aged 19 or under.

Don't know if this would be in addition to the NextGen league or instead of it.

I know we're invited but are we actually entering it or are we committed to the NextGen tournament or indeed entering both?

Our future team...

Angus Gunn (GK)

Ashley smith brown(RB)
Karim Rekik ( CD )
Boasserts. ( CD )
Vlad Marin (LB)

Ntcham (DM)
Geoarge Evans (CM)

Denis Suarez (AM)
Ronnie (RW)

Jose Pozo(CF)

Zacharias Faour "new ibra" (ST)

Exciting team

Edited for accuracy

By "Ronnie" do mean Marcos Lopes' nickname? If so do you mean Jose Angel Pozo as the CF?
If so that seems a good team if they progress well but what of Guidetti?
