If we win it will be made out to be a nothing game and everything starts from next weekend. So on that basis I'm not too bothered. We will see players getting a run out who have yet to play in pre season and it should be used to look at those players in my view. No point in risking players getting injured in this.

Anybody who thinks nothing rides on this will get a rude awakening come Sunday. The rags will be desperate to put us 'in our place' after the semi-final defeat and it is going to get nasty. The guys in both teams are WINNERS, they hate to lose at anything and they know that they can win a psychological edge going in to the new season.

Add to that: Aguero's debut WOOOOOOOOOO!!!

It is only Tuesday and I am already a nervous reck ahead of the CS on Sunday I keep thinking about all the possible things that could happen when we play the scum
I know some people on here and people outside City think that the game on Sunday is just a glorified friendly, I personally think it is like any other competetive derby game, it would mean so so much to us all if we beat the scum at Wembley again and I am experiencing those nerves I got during the build up to the FA Cup Semi-final and final, obviously the FA Cup is more important but this is still a game against the scum and I am bloody nervous

I'm not nervous. Might get a few flutters as the first whistle is blown but I'm not all that bothered by the game. I want us to win, I hope we win, but if we lose I'll be over it by Sunday night. I was nervous for about two weeks before the FA Cup semi final, and I was nervous for the final from the day after the semi and in the days leading up to the final I was a nervous wreck. I hate that too! United have never once played in Salford, probably never will unless they get so shit they have to share Salford City Reds stadium with them.

I've worked in Salford and went out with a girl from Salford for five years and Salford has a hell of a lot fewer United match going fans than they get credit for. And there are a hell of a lot more Blues in Salford than we are given credit for.

Whilst a little anxious I've never understood this "I hate derbys" mentality.

What is the point in being a football fan if you can't look forward to playing the team you hate the most? I always feel so alive on derby day.
