The one thing covid is really denying you most?

I can't enjoy sitting in my back garden.

I let it turn to shit during the winter, it becomes a dumping ground for all the crap thrown out of the house. The patio gets dirty and covered in moss, the bbq gets filthy and weeds consume the entire patio and garden. Come spring I take all the rubbish to the tip (it's closed), hire a jet wash to clean the patio (the shop I hire it from is closed), the gardener comes to cut the grass (he can't work), and I go the garden centre to buy plants for my pots and borders (it's closed).

Would have loved to have sat out back these last few days soaking up the sun but I can't.

A cheaky pint on the way home from work with my mate (44 years) he only lives around the corner.
Just being able to get in the car and pop out for something to eat
A walk to the local for an early sesh .
I don't miss much I think it is just human interaction Mrs Spanish is brilliant but after four weeks in the house I am ready for another human to talk to

Yeah, golf for me too.

With this weather, it’d have been a great way to pass the days, and as per Dave’s post about fishing, you’d have thought it was relatively easy to social distance and not cause anyone any problems.

After a long lay off like this I`d be socially distancing on another fair way or in the trees

Freedom. I mean, before this thing hit I would likely either be stuck in front of a computer for hours a day, or in my car driving up and down the country.

But I had the choice. I could choose what to do to some extent, to nip out for lunch, to have a pint in a beer garden, to go and see my parents, take the kids for some fresh air and an Easter egg hunt.

I used to think freedom was an illusion we have given ourselves to get through everyday life, but now it's been taken away I feel different.

I didn't know you could't go fishing on your own, that would seem alright to me,cant you argue that is your own excercise
Of course you could but it’s been decided by the fishing community that it’s not essential travel. I can understand I suppose: if you allow people to fish then the golfers want to play etc.

My club's members have stared a petition to get golf back on the 'allowed' list of activities. I don't give them much hope, what with other priorities government are dealing with, but before the shutdown the club had instituted distancing measures that worked really well. I went to the shops this morning, and probably got closer to 10 people in 2 minutes than I would have got to 1 person in 4 hours on a golf course. Lots of old guys who lived for golf at our club, who are probably going insane right now.

Also agree with the fishing. No reason I can think of that fishing shouldnt be allowed if you can walk/cycle to the venue. Risk is very very low.

Cheese and onion squares and drifter bars. Spanish supermarket nearest to me doesn’t sell them so I’d normally drive to Iceland.
Not worth the 600 fine for going to a shop that’s not deemed closest to my house if pulled by the Guardia, so having to make do with the shite excuse of Spanish chocolate and crisps for my stoned induced munchies.
