Does most mass produced chocolate have this in these days? Things don’t taste as nice as they used to.
Yes mate. When Rowntree Mackintosh sold out to Nestle in 1988 they soon came up with a 'New Improved Recipe'! Mackies Quality Street were just that, quality. But Nestle reduced the chocolate content and added palm oil, hence the taste difference. Palm oil is in many processed foods because it's a cheap ingredient, certainly cheaper the cocoa.

Not seen any mention of the Coffee Creams being shit, they’re the shittiest of the shit for me, mad that I have a Daughter who loves them and always says “baggsy all the Coffee Creams”, erm yeah ok darlin.

Got to agree they are fucking rank and always left over when I was a kid. Think they came back into fashion with the younger generation. God I really am a FOC.
