Taken from Ponte Sant’Angelo, looking down the Tiber at St Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City, Rome.

If you haven’t seen this view in person, you may have seen it in daylight in one of the Mission Impossible movies, as Tom Cruise pilots a boat through that bridge towards my location.

It was. Well above 10,000’, with the autopilot engaged. Honest.

Don’t tell anyone, but sometimes I even eat (fish, usually salmon) and drink (Coke Zero or Gatorade Zero) at the controls…and (shhhhhh!) go to the bathroom for a wee…although I do step out and use the First Class loo for that! ;-)

There was a story recently of a flight crew who said they had a really good pic of another aircraft as they were flying by. They called the aircraft on the air-to-air common frequency and AirDropped the pics to them!

Waking up to the top of St Peter’s and overlooking the Vatican gardens was cool.
