Bernese alps, Switzerland, looking north just before thunder, lightning and heavy rain. The clouds are gathering camera side giving the background glow on the other lighter side of the mountains.I'm intrigued. Where is that, please? (If I had to guess, I'd say somewhere in Latin America, in the Andes).

You can get lucky in burst mode, but that shot is taken as a long exposure on a tripod. The main giveaway are the multiple strikes, but you can also see the star burst around the lights as a result of a narrow aperture used to increase the exposure time.Am I right in thinking that the only way to get that is that you put your camera on a tripod, and then set it to a slow shutter speed? (That's a really cool photo).
