Karney has been the City Centre Tzar since I can remember as well as the Harpurhey Cllr.
A lot of Cllr's have a dual role beyond their ward boundaries.
The thing about the city centre is when Karney was elected, the city centre probably had less than 200 residents. Now it has thousands and also city centre councilors. Let the city centre councilors sort it out and let Pat get on sorting the scrotes around Asda out!

The thing is nowadays that sort of stuff hardly gets a second look, them scrotes multiplied.
But it's all the because of a wall, now that's gone the scrotes will evaporate and we will all be making daisy chains on the finely tuned lawns of the gardens
 
I was in town last Friday. First stop Piccadilly Gardens for Vegan Shack.

There’s potential as there were venues to eat and drink in.
 
The council parks department maintained the parks and gardens, we could still have a couple of trees surrounded by prickly bushes and lawns instead of flowers the kind of shrubs outside supermarkets and put back the water fountain instead of those revolting jets.

The fountain/wishing well that collected money for charity (no one robbed the money) should be stored some where in a dusty cobwebbed corner put it back I say.

I avoid it at all costs like Salford Precinct. Had the misfortune of traipsing through this evening.

Triangle it. Put a square in the middle and some shops inside for a courtyard. It's the first place tourists see, I'm surprised they don't get back on the train.

Interesting you should mention that. I was reading a FB thread about Heaton park bemoaning all the lovely public buildings and gardens that had been knocked down there and thought the same thing - anything like that nowadays would be destroyed by scroates and drunks/druggies.
I think Piccadilly gardens needs to be very open so wrong uns feel uncomfortable loitering and going about their business.

It's fairly open now and the wrong uns don't worry about it.
 


Good to see people being stopped and having details taken and a ticket issued for littering (even just for a cig end) and having their beers taken off them when being drank in the open around Piccadilly Gardens on this video.

Don’t fucking litter in my city and moan about it when you get caught, you scruffs.

Seems a bit cleaner out and about recently. Really good to see!

It wasn’t long ago that people were openly smoking crack and spice on Piccadilly Gardens in front of kids and families walking past, plus shit littered all over the place.


PS- if you don’t like that Charlie Veitch guy, he shits it and acts all nice to Billy Moore on this video… he’s been slagging Billy off for ages.

Veitch is a **** end off, the littering thing is good but the company they used if it’s the same a few years ago were just a money making scam, your rights if you drop something and they inform you, if you pick it up that’s the end of it but they tried to bully people, obviously if you don’t pick up the you get fined.

I’ve only watched a small number of that Veitch’s videos because I don’t agree with his views so don’t bother with him usually, but I think he’s been very good for exposing some things that we should all be wary of like Cottagers Cove and scammers on Market Street.

Billy Moore’s videos are good though, he actually has a chat with the people in his videos, often they are vulnerable people in horrible situations who he gives a voice to. He went down that Cottagers Cove once and met a family with young kids who were magnetic fishing in the canal there and just metres away were a bunch of scummy cunts up their dirty tricks in public who scuttled off when the cameras came close but they were have been doing their dirty shit with those kids nearby without the cameras there.

As far as the litter thing goes, I despise littering and have felt embarrassed by the state of Mcr city centre over the last decade, so I’d be in favour of bringing in Singapore level strictness on littering and throwing cig ends and chewing gum on the floor as well as those who graffiti everywhere in Town. I nearly came to blows with two random blokes at the end of a night out once when they just threw their empty pizza box and drinks cartons on the floor.
