The muen is and has always been a rag paper. Could understand if it was the evening standard but for a Manchester publication it's a fucking disgrace.

Fixed that for you Gary.The Chron was in its early days owned by a City chairman and he ensured it had a blue bias, and in response MUFC gave the MEN an office on their ground and it became established as THE paper for Red news. That disparity has continued to this day as far as most are concerned

great story.My best ever day for going to get the Pink was when City won the league in 1968 when I was nine.
The headline was 'City Champs'.
My mum told me to get two copies and loads of sweets and pop too, and we all waited up for my dad to get back from Newcastle.

Heard a lot of stories from loads of blues about the day..Remember our coach stopping at chippy in Leeds on the way back took piss out of the Yorkies great day,48 year's ago unbelievable.
one who cut short her holiday in Scotland to drive down to st james park, win the title, and drive back.
saw the programme from that game (for the first time) a few weeks ago..
All the older blues tell me there must have bin 20,000 City there that day..and,last season when i went up to st james with a mate, we sneaked into their executive sports bar after the night match.. charmed the doorman to let us in by mentioning that match,asked him if he was there..a smile broke out over his face, and he went all misty eyed ( i knew he,d let us in then) and he said
"there must have been 20,000 of your lot here that day"
we were in. and the last ones to leave..so the doorman instructed the girls serving the food to " give the lads something to take back down the road"
we came out with our pockets stuffed of burgers and hotdogs ...would have preferred the 3 pts to be fair!
