He's MH's mate, so it won't matter if he see's it or not, he'll remain loyal (where's Big Mals Cigar, I hope he went to the dugout again ;-) ).

Its funny how Dunne was poor in his last season for us, but he is now Villa's 'mr consistent', yet Toure and Lescott have done the reverse.

Like i said mate, the last 18 months has seen the defense as the weakest link!

im confused now who's fault is it hughes? bowen? all of them? some off them? none of them ?the team? lescott? toure? the tea lady? the mascot?

I really cannot believe so many of the people on here, they aren't even prepared to give a manager who has bought pretty much an entire new team in well under a year one full season to see if he can get the teams consistency up!

We KNOW we have a good team, we KNOW we have some great individual players, we KNOW we can play some fantastic football, it is just a matter of getting the consistency which takes TIME!!!! YES TIME!!!! You can't do it in a month or 2, some of you pathetic people who change your mind about Hughes on a weekly basis depending on whether we win or draw (yes, we dont lose!!!) are embarassing!

Out of the thousands of people on this board there is only a very select few who have any kind of brain or common sense and are prepared to give the man a chance! If you want loads of money at your club and a new manager every 6 months then go and support Chelsea!

I think thats a pretty good post to be fair.
I am 40 now and have only seen glimpses of good things followed by long barren years!
boj, I think the younger lads are the ones on here that are the main 'outers' I have waited 34 years (allowing for when the final is) to see us win another trophy, I can wait a bit longer.
Does nobody remember the new owners plans when he bought us?
A TEN YEAR PLAN.

Now, everybody go and have another beer and calm down for fucks sake

Exactly which fixtures, pre-season excluded, were shit performances. A shit performance, to my simple mind, would be characterised by an abject defeat, or where you were clearly second best and outplayed across the pitch. I've looked at and/or attended the whole fixture list and I cannot find one which meets my criteria.

This is just wild accusatory posturing which ignores the basic elements of fact.
so you are saying you were pleased with the performances against Bolton, Hull, Burnley, Birmingham, Fulham and Wigan

No I am not saying that. I am quite disappointed with them but it does not make them shit performances. Shit performances were Notts Forest and Brighton last year. Nothing this season has come anywhere near.

Thankfully our owners make the call on the on-going Mark Hughes In/Out saga.

Our owners have invested a heap of money into the squad and into the club. They are smart buisness minded people with a 10 year plan. If Hughes doesnt reach their targets then they will find a more suitable replacement.

On the positive side he has only lost one game this season and we are in to the semi finals for the first time in years. He has had us playing some of the best football (vs Chelsea) that i've seen in a very very long time. The negatives are that he has spent a heap of money on players (notably defenders) that are yet to find their feet. His tactics have sometimes been questionable but in retrospect his doing a 'good' job.

I swing on the Hughes fence. Hughes will most likely been assesed on his position at the end of the season (unless a dramatic string of results). There is only one thing we should be doing and that is supporting the manager and the team and singing your hearts out at every game full of positivity. All our questions will be answered come May on Hughes ability, the race is only half way.

My favourite part and the reason why i'm comfortable with our progess, is that its not a question of if, it's when. Our owners have it in our best interest and have shown their support with the money injected into the club. They're serious people with a football passion that want to make Manchester City into one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they will. I look at Notts County and Pompey and however else and think how blessed we are.

At the end of the day, if our owners support Mark Hughes, then we should support our wonderful owners. They have it in our best interest and in the not to distant future we will be singing blue moon at wembely and be travelling somewhere in Europe.

City til we die.

So your entire argument for 'Hughes out' comes down to 'were 3 points off 9th', that makes sense!
