Fellow Blues, cast your mind back to May 2007,we are skint, had not scored at home since Jan 1st,we were playing the Rags at Coms,we all raised our scarves in a moving powerful rendition of Blue Moon and I turned to my then 13 year old daughter and said " Imagine what this club would be like if we had unlimited money".I was getting carried away of course, never really expected it to happen, this was before Shinawatra took us over.I guess I could feel the passion and love for our club cascading down from the stands that day and felt hurt that us as loyal fans would never see a successful City side again.
How this all turned out is beyond my wildest imaginations,I suppose the message is keep hold of your dreams,as one day they MAY come true, however unlikely. On that day the winker scored a penalty to win 1-0 and virtually wrap the title up,I am sure we played Villa at home the week before and lost 2-0.
3 years on they both have to come to Coms in a very exciting end of season and we know its going to get better every year from now.
Whatever you believe in life, just to actually BELIEVE something good will happen in itself will give you a psychological edge and may carry you through difficult times.
