Where does this "prawn sandwich brigade" phrase stem from?
You can buy prawn sandwiches from most places, think they even sell them in PoundLand, yet football fans mainly use this phrase when describing a more upperclass fan.
I've never gone corporate at a footy match in my life (just can't afford it) however even if I did spend £xxx amount on a ticket I wouldn't go out of my way to scoff on a mingin' prawn sandwich, I'm sure there is some nicer food on offer (caviar & potato pie yum yum)
So what is actually served at matches for the corporate brigade?
Poundland prawn sandwiches?
