Ok, even before kick off I was irritated today just because of the whole pre match build up.

Don't get me wrong here I think City Square is fantastic but that's where a lot of this 'entertainment' belongs.

I'm in the ground before a Derby feeling like I'm ready for a war and the club are making me feel like I'm at a kids party.

Showing comedic videos to advertise the match programme.

Showing people on the big screen saying we're going to beat the rags 6-1 again while their players are warming up and thinking 'you ****ing what?!'

The worst bit. Fanzone Danny and Natalie Pike, two minutes before kick off, talking about their favourite Derby memories on the big screen. Jesus Christ. They're both top blues but the direction they're being given is horrendous. They've got Natalie sounding like she's presenting CBBC. The tone is all wrong.

Playing the music at full blast so you can barely hear yourself think is also poor. The fans want to sing before a Derby and this just makes it harder to do.

Overall the pre match experience in the stadium is completely sterile. It feels like it is designed by someone who knows absolutely nothing about football and the people who go to games. Awful.

I felt exactly the same.

It was the first time I visited City Square today and will be the last.

I feel for Danny and Natalie being told to act like local morning radio DJ's.

Its been like this for years now. Ive given up caring tbh just makes me prefer to watch it on the telly.

Wish them three presenters would just fuck off though. And dont get me started on that 'i play for you' montage.

Yep it's very cringeworthy

If it was at an away match we'd be taking the piss mercilessly

Reading your last quote it sounds like Pelligrini

Totally agree. I don't go in City Square before or after the game. Half time 'entertainment' is awful, I'd rather go back to the days of a marching band. I don't see the point in their post match analysis, as they're employed by the club they aren't going to say anything critical or controversial against a player or the manager.

Blossoms were good today. The main presenter is slick. The other two are terrible.

What gets me is there are die hard blues within the club why dont they say something!

It has, but today I snapped with it.

It was so wrong and out of place. Completely detached from what most people want their match going experience to be.

It's 100% plastic.

This and all those fucking half and half scarfs can get to fuck.
