The Q Word

We have the midfield and attack to win all 4 trophies for sure, alas our defence is not in that league, I think we will win the PL & League Cup, time will tell, I hope I'm wrong and we win everything.

I seem to recall Arsenal a few seasons back being in the latter stages of 4 competitions. I think the Q word was mentioned then. I think they got knocked out of 2 or 3 of them in week.
I just want the league, anything else is a bonus.

It doesn't really matter what the players say, as long as we're still in the running for these competitions, the media will continually ask the question. If the players happen to say they believe they can win all competitions, so what? Vinnie has said before that when he goes out to play he believes he's invincible, and also went on to say 'I know it may sound big-headed but that's just the way it is'. If that motivates him, and makes him play the way he does, then great.

The media will screw you over anyhow when you lose a competition, they don't need to quote a player's comment to do that.

I would be made up with if "all" we won was the title.

I would prefer that to winning both the League and F A Cups.

To think where we were a few few seasons ago to where we are now - discussing the possibilty of winning the quadruple.

Unbelieveable.

I think realistically a treble may be on but the q is too far, we are still only averaging about 2 goals away from home and as good as our domestic form is I think we have a way to go in the CL. I'll happily eat my words though :/

Pelligrini hinted at why this is so unlikely.

At the moment, he has been largely able to put really strong sides out in every competition, but a couple of injuries in the same area during a spell of crucial top of the Prem games, then a big Champions League game & you suddenly end up playing an FA Cup tie at Anfield with Boyata centre back, Garcia & Rodwell playing centre mid & Lopes out wide, because you've only got a small squad of fit players & half desperately need a rest.
jeez, we have had Kompany, Silva, Aguero, Jovetic and now Nasri out for significant periods of time. I'd say it's pretty good that we have been able to to dot his well with all the injuries we have had.

Vinnie hasn't said we will do it this season or even achieve it with the current group of players.

Exactly, the quotes are much less bullish than the headlines

We can't promise it will happen now, but eventually it will have to happen," said the Belgium defender.

"We are the players at the moment who have been chosen to do it. If it's not us then it will be other players.

"This club definitely has a target to win every competition possible."

I'm looking forward to next season when we go for the Sextuple.... with the Charity Shield and World Club Championship.

All this talk of the quadruple... I know it's only media hype but it feels like tempting fate. Let's just enjoy watching the team play great football and take one step at a time. Remember that year Bayern was up for the treble and came away with nowt?

just googled city to win the quad and im shocked how may people are talking of us doing it, to my calculations its now 28 games although that does not have to be a run without a loss or draw we could accomodate around 6 games for a margin for error, odds going short over the weekend from 100/1 to around 40/1 indicates its being backed on the flipside we are 18/1 NOT to win a trophy, shows just how far we have come
