Don't get the tourism myth.

The royal family are disbanded tomorrow - would there be less visitors to London? Nope.

Do people still visit Paris even though France don't have a royal family? Yes, more than London.

As an American that has been to London a couple times. I can tell you that the Queen is likely not the reason for the visit for about 99.999% of us. Sure I did the tourist thing and went to see the Palace. However I only did it to see the changing of the guard. If there was no queen and they still did the ceremony bit, I doubt that attendance would drop much if at all. Look at the Tower of London and the key ceremony. Those are still huge draws just because of what they are and the pomp of it all.

If there is no Queen then there is no changing of the Guard, simples, the Royal Family bring Millions to the British Economy through tourism in many different ways. Still not a fan though.
