Can rule Holland out straight away, they always have imploded and always will at the WC. The south american teams have a reverse of their climate to contend with. It will be winter in SA and whilst I accept most of their players play in Europe anyway, I think this will have an effect on them. I agree with Spain and Italy, but not Germany. Like you say, all about opinions but with a fit and firing Rooney, we have as good of a chance as any. Don't forget we have a winner in charge this time.

No. He is quality and nearly always scores against us. I hope he will be sidelined for ages. Tbh I don't know why but I have very little interest in our national footy team - whereas the 1995 Ashes series reduced me to tears of pride.

Fair enough if you don't have any interest on the footy team, i'm surprised at how many don't to be honest. One thing though, its July, we're in the final and are drawing 1-1. 5 mins to go Rooney pops up, or Carrick for that matter, and bangs in the winner. I expect no emotion from you if that is the case Mr. ;-)
