The Rags Have 'Silva' Envy

Re: The Rag's Have 'Silva' Envy

first time in my liftime ive experienced rags salivating over one of our players, they are desperately jealous, and it is so fucking sweet to be able to say that.

i keep noticing little milestones which point to us having 'arrived', this jealously is one them.

brilliant

I wouldn't have Silva over Anderson

Bloody hell!

Brilliant!

Comments like that are so easy to decipher, he's jealous as fuck and hoping that if he lies to himself frequently enough it'll start to become true.

Either that or he's never seen Silva play. Or Anderson. Or actually watched a game of football. Ever.

I'd take Wilshere over Silva

Re: The Rag's Have 'Silva' Envy

Wilshire, the most over rated English player for generations - doesn't score, rarely assists, doesn't break up the play... but runs sideways like a Spaniard without the skill.

And Modric, what did he do last season 3 goals, 2 assists or something moronically average.

Brilliant.

I'd probably take Modric too. Both of them are more well-rounded and useful at both ends of the pitch.
That was funny, but this tops it off for stupidity:

I was pleasantly surprised to see Silva on the bench so often

TBF.... that was about last season, the quote in full:

Thgink the real problem lay with Mancini not Silva.Mancini didn't really get to know his best 11 till towards the end.I was pleasantly surprised to see Silva on the bench so often.Crazy really...he should have started just about every game.

and the facts:

Total appearances 44 (* + 11 as sub); Goals 8; Yellow cards 2; Red cards 0

Like Hollywood over there, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

I found this comment very interesting:

Silva's brilliant in the final third but doesn't do any of the dirty work in the centre of the park.

I just keep thinking about the number of times this season, both wide and mid-pitch, where Little David has crept back to snatch a ball off feet and head back toward the opposing goal. I absolutely disagree with the idea that he does not "do any of the dirty work".

It seems that they have grudging respect for him, but it is obvious that we like him much more. I didn't see one rag on there offer to smash his back doors in, or have their back doors smashed in by him. You see that here on Bluemoon all the time.

Love that little mad genius, David Silva...

i agree, i seen that aswell like wtf as the first thing that came to mind was the our first goal on saturday against wigan. silva ran back and nabbed the ball off one of there players and started runnning forwards with it, resulting in the pass to tevez and the pass back to silva who then gave it to aguero to score.

This bellend is so desperate to 'not like' Silva he'd take the new 'Darren Anderton' Wilshere over him! You're welcome to him.

Re: The Rag's Have 'Silva' Envy

I think they are starting to see, that despite what the press and their fellow rags may say, that the revolution is now- and it's being televised.

He's obviously never seen Silva getting back to defend as he does then.

Muppet.

Does he mean like when Silva ran back into our half, stole the ball off a Wigan player before laying it off to Tevez who then passed it back to Silva (because Silva had run from our half to support Tevez and was in the box) who beautifully shimmied with the ball at his feet (sending a player in the wrong direction) before finally passing it on for Aguero for our first goal?
