Time for some appreciation for the original and most definately more intersting Chorlton.

The one most Mancunians will have been born in (St Marys) and Harbours, the Universiry, the museum, the former famous jabez clegg, holy name church, Whitworth park and gealery, the home of the Pankhursts etc etc etc.

not some poncy halmet on the border of cheshire named by some victorians after the original

CHORLTON-ON-MEDDLOCK the original and the propper Chorlton

The only interesting bit about Chorlton was his back up gang The Wheelies

Cum-Hardy?
no on medlock, was passing through today on airport bus and when it said next stop St Marys Hospital Chorlton some student went "we're nowhere near chorlton" hit me the lack of knowledge of the origianl chorlton and that they consider the area either town or rusholm, being born in St Marys I have a fondness for the area after gorton

Most Manc friends were born in Crumpsall. NMGH.

I was born at Withybush in Haverfordwest, South Wales. If we’re using the ruler rule then I’m a Swansea Jack.
