Does anyone remember this pub.? Demolished now.

There was a pub called the Red Bull just off Swan Street.

Was it where the bus station is now opposite “ Turks “ ? I went to a pub there in 1980 and U2 played in an upstairs room without a stage . The pub by then was called “ rusty s “ or something similar as it was actually a gay pub long before the village was a thing . They had gig nights on a Wednesday and called it the beach club . It was another Tony Wilson venture in between the Russel club and hacienda .

It was called Oozits in 1980 (The Beach Club). Was too young to go and think it lasted less than a year. The Fall played too and also hosted New Order's unannounced debut.
