The return of Adebayor

The problem there is I think Tevez prefers to be on his own up front. When Ade is in the team, he is the lone striker and Tevez is usually shunted in a wider, more peripheral position where he is less effective and less prolific.

Two quality players in their own rights, but I don't think they compliment each other well at all.

Since the Bolton away 3-3 it looks clear they don't get on. Ever seen them congratulate each other December onwards?
How often have they played together since December? It really can't be much with Adebayor being in Africa and his ban

If we have Barry and Zab putting the crosses into the box then I cant see Ade making any difference to be honest.....

Tevez and Adebayor haven't played that often as a partnership and i feel that they can work together and would start them both on Monday. They both offer something different and both have the ability to score goals

We have to take risks to snatch 4th place so I would risk Ade playing up front with Tevez feeding off his touches a la Toshack and Keagan or for the younger ones, Defoe and Crouch.

A timely boost for next week... and I think if he and Tevez can finally gel, we're on our way!

also just in time for the run in

he'll be hoping for a transfer

From the training reports sounds like he has been working hard!!

Before his latest ban he was getting back to his early season form.

This Ade big man up front is a myth hes much better when the ball is played to his feet!

If you want big man up front you are better playin RSC!

If he finishes the season, the way he started it, we will be top four.

He has to play. He goals record is very impressive, more so than when he was at Arsenal, when he actually plays for us.

Adebayor is the option B when Tevez plan A is either snuffed out or needs more support.

Great players make it work, and I saw with the link for the Wolves goal at the start of the season, these two can turn it on together.

Him and Tevez havn't played well together all season and it worries me.

One or the other, preferably Tevez.

this.

i don't think tevez/adebayor have worked well together, but for games at home against wigan we have to try it, we have to play 2 strikers and we need to win.

Good news. Tev can't play the lone striker role and Crocky is, well, a poor substitute.

I was on about the games in december, there were about half a dozen that month plus a couple since.

Embarrassment of riches up front.

Adebayor has everything a striker needs. He can play the lone striker role better than Tevez because he has pace.

Because of our midfield problems, I'd play Adebayor up top, with Tevez in behind. Tevez likes to go deep and it suits his game

with Given/s poor kicking we need height upfront with Ade back in team

He's not really known for his aerial prowess though is he?!!! In fact for a pretty big lad, I expected him to be a lot better in the air
