The Rock

He sold out. You'd never respect a City player who gave up football to appear in Hollyoaks before trying to come back a few seasons later. Yes, Wrestling is fake but they're still athletes.

Did he bollocks sell out. He tried to further his career and fair play to him.

He's an entertainer, look at the shite films that Triple H and Cena have done. He's no Sean Connery but he's certainly too good for that scripted nonsense that is the WWE.

Its clear his roots are in Wrestling and he likes to come back, and im sure a huge part of him will always be WWE, but he's too good for it. Let tossers like Randy Orton, Triple H and John Cena jump about and fake pain, thats all they can do.

Triple H is a legend, not a tosser! There's only a few who've managed to stay at the top for as long as he has!

With "rasslin'" I'm never too sure if it was genuinely the tits around 1998-2001 or if I enjoyed it that much because I was 10-13

It helps when your kids are Vince's grandkids.

True.

But he's still a great athlete who played a huge part in the powershift back to WWF from WCW. Without The Rock, Stone Cold or DX then who knows what would have happened to the company. Probably would have made a lot more time for 'Tight Lines' or 'Premier League Rounders' on Sky Sports 3!

The fact he married Stephanie gave him the longevity, he has been out injured for 3 of the last 10 years, and his popularity was brought on the back of Shaun Michaels - a true entertainer.
Without the luck of Steve Austin and the Rock, which brought huge amounts in way of merchandising revenue over a sustained period, the WWE would of been in serious trouble, pre '98' the whole thing was on the verge of going bust.

It was genuinely the tits Old Boy!

Triple H is a tosser though, married the boss' daughter, sorted for life, apprently a proper knobber back stage.

I watched the Rock thing last night, and switched it off half way through, i've never done that before, but he didn't electrify me and people weren't falling over jumping up and down in sheer delight at his return, which i found strange :(

I haven't watched wrestling in many years but Shawn Michaels was always my favourite. As kids me and my mate would pretend to be The Rockers and when Shawn put Marty through the barbershop window I cried!!

What an entertainer though, his ladder matches and battles with Bret Hart were so much fun to watch, not to mention the Royal Rumble wins and the Wrestle Mania zipline entrance!

Is he still wrestling?

Watched the return on YouTube this mornin' and I felt like a Seven year old again, think I might start watching for the first time in a while, :P

Just watched that
Ive never seen a crowd go that mental in an indoor stadium ever!!

You want to see a crowd go mental, then watch these.

My top wrestlers back in the day.
5 Undertaker was in some classics back in the day gifted great worker.
4 Mr Perfeck Curt Hennig the man was brilliant he should of won a World title back in the day but sadly didnt.
3 The Rock the most electrifing man the best in the business on the mike a true wrestling dream.
2 Chris Jericho nearly the full package great in ring and on the mike him and the Rock was a great battle when Jericho moved over to the WWF back in the day.
1 Brett Hart the best there was the best there will ever be. Amazing wrestler had all the moves decent on the mike and his brother Owen would of been up there as well only for what happend never seen his full potential. His fights with Owen are a wrestling clinic.

Just missing out are HBK , Stone Cold , Mick Foley and Ric Flair those all could get into my top 5 but these already in them are hard to beat.
