The Rolling Stones

Why? They are still making better music than half the 'newer' bands out there....

Let's see ANY of the modern bands come up with anything half as good 50 years into their careers....

Any of the recent stuff you think is half decent? The last twenty years?

Now you've done it!!

The thing is the Rolling Stones were a fantastic band, I just don't think they have written anything of note for many years.

Anyway...... Them beatles, they were shite weren't they?

Personally I think the new single is a cracking song. Nothing new or groundbreaking at all, and also rate Voodoo Lounge a fantastic album (from a few years ago now admittedly)

But live is where for me, they can still cut it.

So stand by what I said, let's see any current band amass a back catalougue half as good, or still able to do it anything like in 50 years....

Without wishing to be dragged into the racism/double standards debate which has seen multiple threads pulled today, you can't help wondering if The Stones would get more respect for still touring and gigging if they weren't a bunch of old white men.
After all, people still talk about the likes of BB King, Solomon Burke etc as being 'venerable' and 'blues legends' — but when it's the Stones, they are 'a bunch of old farts'

Greedy old fuckers, £106 for a shit seat at a crap venue (The O2). Surely they have already made enough money and an afford to give something back to the fans via reduced ticker prices.

£1,140.00 for pit passes no ta!
