The RSF, The UAE and the killings in Sudan

It is clearly politics and war as well as geopolitics and genocide. The UAE has every right to protect its strategic interests in Sudan by supporting a particular side. No problem at all with that. What we don't know is to what extent, if any, they are involved in the genocide (I am assuming none) or to what extent they are trying to rein in the RSF (I am assuming we will never know, these people are secretive, they don't do geopolitics by tweet). Tbh, I doubt anything is ever so clear cut that people on a football forum can get to the bottom of it so I am keeping my powder dry.
Very complex situation, and definitely not as simplistic as some are saying.

Not one fuck is given. We have enough shite in this country.. if you are offended by what's going on in other countries fuckoff and do something there. Stop being a keyboard martyr.
I gathered you didn't give a fuck, you saying so was a massive hint:-)

Strange that you would therefore think i would give a fuck about what you want. So in the style of mac

If you are offended by people calling out genocide and our owners why dont you fuck off and buy a City duvet. Stop being a keyboard childish sycophant.

Ttfn.

Don't worry I will enjoy the match tomorrow caring only if we score. Im sure the players will be feeling the same.

You presumably mean by supplying funding and materiel or do you have evidence Emiratis are in Darfur organising and executing the massacres?

That's a genuine question, by the way. I am willing to learn. My pitchfork is in the garden shed, but it is sharpened ....

Maybe we have different definitions of balls-deep when it comes to genocide.

They are complicit in Genocide of that there is no doubt. They're funding is slaughtering tens of thousands of people.

We spend years defending ourselves against accusations we are a state owned club and at the first chance we have fans more than willing to put 2+2 together and come up with 5 claiming our owner is the state and we now have “abhorrent owners”.

Do you think our owners are horrible abhorrent bastards for what they are funding in Sudan. A simple Yes or No will do. Not the usual dodge of answer you give.

If they have please provide evidence, put it in the rags thread and we can call them cunts. Any reason to call them cunts is fine with me:-)
Unfortunately I do not have access to either parties bank accounts

Wasn’t really a dig at you mate.I think everyone is a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to stuff like this when City are involved.Ive never had much time for our owners or got involved in the worship of them or the we should be so thankful to them shite. It’s our club and hopefully always will be despite their best efforts to see as many of the working class fanbase off.

I’ll be there tomorrow though and that probably makes me a hypocrite but football is so ingrained in family traditions it’s a tough one to just sack off due to owners being abhorrent.

I'm in the hypocrite band too. Horrible owners but I love my club and will also be there tomorrow.

Until I’m given irrefutable proof that HRH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan is directly funding genocide then I will stick in the not guilty lane thanks.

If you genuinely want to learn about the matter, you can do your own research and will find numerous irrefutable claims about UAE's role in this genocide. However, if you don't want to believe it, then no amount of cold-hard evidence will make you change your mind because you don't like the truth.

Its all there in the front page, but some would rather turn a blind eye. That's the world we live in today

To be honest although I'd heard something about a war and atrocities ( What war doesn't have atrocities? ) in that region, it merged into one with all the many civil wars and conflicts that appear to be happening all over the world at the moment. The middle east and Africa have had endless conflicts my whole life from as far back as I can remember first watching the news. This isn't me being callous about such events but although they horrify and fill you with dismay, as an individual you are limited in what you can do. There are so many endless conflicts, if you became emotionally involved in even just a couple they would consume your whole life and probably have a huge affect on your mental health. It wasn't until suddenly every single social media platform regarding our club was being flooded with posts naming our club and owner that I delved deeper. Apparently this conflict has been going on since 2013, that's two years. I'm wondering why they are suddenly naming our owner now. The sheer volume of posts suddenly appearing mean this has to be a well orchestrated campaign, there is no way this is all just concerned individuals posting.
So if true what happens next? Where do we go from here? Again this isn't me being callous but myself and probably many on here just want to go and support our football club. Football is a place we go to try and forget all the shit and horrors happening in life for ninety minutes, a form of escapism, where our sole focus is on our team out on the field kicking a football around. For years now that has been overshadowed by legal complexities, first with EUFA and presently the premier league. That however pales into comparison with these latest slurs and accusations. It's worrying to say the least and sucking the enjoyment out of what going to watch a game of football should be about.

The first civil war in Sudan was between 1955 and 1972.

The second was between 1983 and 2005.

The current conflict has rumbled on since 2023 and it appears it’s all our owners fault which can be seen from the sudden influx of articles and social media from Qatar backed journalists for one.

It seems to have found its regular audience on here at least so job done.

Because on the 27th Oct the city of El-Fasher in. Dafur was captured by the RSF and since reports of ethnic cleansing and mass rape have been reported with an estimated 2500 civilians being masacred including the entering of the saudi maternity hospital killing 460 including doctors and nurses, many women, new born babies and members of the international medical communities.

This masacre has been reported globally hence why it has become a major talking point so obvipusly all those involved are being mentioned.

The Assads and Saddam Hussein were also examples of leaders who were utterly brutal but largely kept a lid on domestic tensions. In their cases though it was via brutal repression.
I watched an interview with an ex CIA director who was totally against the invasion of Iraq. He asked the interviewer if he knew who the biggest killer of Al Qaeda operatives was? The interviewer said No.
Saddam Hussein was his answer.

Plus weapons and engines the UK supplied to the UAE turning up again there (in a report 4 days ago), despite UAE denials for a long time, which on balance look like complete lies.

I'm not sure why so many are upset that the UAE defense minister in a dictatorship is getting some flack when there is most likely an evidence based link to assisting the genocide. Whatever the intention of supplying the arms were, they denied it and have been shown to have been dishonourable.
