A lot of Americans under preformed. Phil classless Mickleson got 1 point. Bubba Watson didnt even score a point. Matt Kuchar got 1 point as well. There experienced players all fucked up for them while all the rookies scored big points for them. Reid and Speith will be the backbone of that team for years to come along with Rickie Fowler. I think the next Ryder Cup will be closer. Think some of the European main stays Poulter and Westwood will need to kick on and preform to get back into the team. Poulter was a wild card pick and scored 1 point. Westwood done a solid job but think he is getting on and be 43 by the time the next 1 comes around and he needs to start contending again in all competitions to get into any European team think there will be a couple of major changes to each team next time around.

Mickleson won 2 out of 3 points. It was an error by Watson to not play him on Saturday, but Phil is wrong to throw him under the bus this soon after defeat. I wonder if they'll get Azinger back for the next one?

More than poor when Watson was sat at the same table. Watson might have been a poor captain but he deserves better than that.

I suspect the pod system might have a touch of the emperor's new clothes about it. It may have worked well in 2008 but what do you do when everyone in one pod is playing superbly and everyone in an another pod is losing 5 and 4?

I don't think anybody underperformed,...the difference was the foursome and only because the yanks don't really play it.

Other than in this event when do the Europeans exclusively play that format (foursomes) more than the Yanks? I hate the format with a passion.

Seve Trophy is probably the only other time. And the US do play the President's Cup as well, so they ought to have more experience of it, not less.

I stand corrected about Phil thought he only scored 1 point. Yes not playing him was a mistake but to see on the Friday Speith and Reid doing so well in the morning then not putting them back out in the afternoon was a bit of fuck up as they would of been on a big high and both played brilliant golf together.
