the setting off thread

Taking my flight from Spain to gatwick in 5 hours (originally tomorrow at 6am, paid £60 to amend), then drive back from gatwick tonight, 6 hours, to Mancunia.
 
i am catching the boat from the Isle of Man today. It has been a long week for me. i started work at half 6 in the morning on Wednesday so i could finish early and catch my flight for the Villa game. Flight cost me £120 quid but i spent the majority of my time caught up in a 3 hour traffic jam caused by the suicide attempt on the Mancunian way. Didn't get in to the game until the 60th minute but fortunately saw all the goals. Then i had to get the first flight back in the morning. It will be all worth it if we can do it on Sunday!
 
I set off from Rammy at 6 this morn, I've just got to Bury. Phew, only 10 miles to go.

I set off this morning at half past eight but then I remembered the match was tomorrow so I went home again. Tomorrow morning I will probably set of at half past eight again and hope the trams are running. If not I might set off at half past seven.
 
Setting off from Bury now...going through Whitefield which has a different timezone of minus 30 years.
 
Got to Waldorf for last epic v QPR and managed to get a ticket for the Wigan cup final but can't make

it over for tomorrow's final day fest.... :-(......... still, I've got some nice red and a stack of German beer

waiting for a greedy pig like me to attack it around eleven bells tomoz.

my mate left Spain this morning & is currently being led astray by Armani and some of the Reddish branch (not that he needs much leading astray), I was due to play cricket today and the flights in the morning were too dear so am on the 20.10 from Aldegrove, will be leaving about 4 to get to the airport (bloody italian cyclists causing traffic jams all over the place here), could leave it to about 6 but get the car parked, into the airport and relax with a cider, at least Belfast International has the decency to have a smoking area airside, unlike Manchester Terminal 3, Pickled Liver Airport and Dead Beatle Airport.

Very much like those places in Spain. For every ten kilometres yer go from the coast, yer go back fifty years!

Set off this morning from Littleborough. Down to Rochdale and back, off to MRI this evening and back to Littleborough, and I set off again tomorrow sometime! I think I'll stop for the full 99mins and just say bugger to the traffic on the way out!
