The Smiths & Morrissey thread

This from the leading Morrissey fan website.
Has to be bollocks as I dont thinkJohnny would go anywhere near Morrissey at this moment (for political reasons i mean)

Concert industry insiders, not authorized to speak publicly, say concert giant “Live Nation” has won the rights for the long-awaited Smiths reunion to happen next year. We know what you’re already singing to yourself (“stop me if you think that you’ve heard this one before”), but because dates and venues are already said to be in the “plotting stage,” this would indicate that a Morrissey-Marr reunion is closer than ever to becoming a reality. There’s no word yet on if all four original members will share the concert stage. Morrissey just completed his “California Son” tour. According to his website, Johnny Marr has no upcoming shows scheduled. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned.
Morrissey and Mike Joyce will never be in the same room together.

As much as I would love it to happen I find it highly unlikely.

Love this from Jonny Marr proving he still has a razor sharp humour

The guitarist received a tweet by a fan who wanted to know if a report, which claimed a “trusted source” had reported that concert giant LiveNation had secured the reunion.

“Need to know pretty sharpish so I can get a loan and sell everything I own to go to every date,” the fan joked.

Marr was quick to shut down the rumour, responding with the quip: “Nigel Farage on guitar.”

Morrissey has described I Am Not A Dog On A Chain as:

" … the very best of me … too good to be true … too true to be considered good … ", and concludes Morrissey's contract with BMG Records.

The first single is "Bobby, Don't You Think They Know?", which features vocals by Thelma Houston. The B-side is "Rainbow Valley", a cover of the UK hit by The Love Affair.
