The Smiths & Morrissey thread

Noel likes to think of himself as some erudite wordsmith, most especially during these latter years. Oasis were fucking great and he’s written some absolute belters but he became obsessed with £££££.
His portrayal of his family home being some tough inner-city hovel is also utter drivel.
And he could write songs for the next million years and he’d never write anything (lyrically) to match:
“Gasping, dying, but somehow still alive, this is the fierce last stand of all I am.”
Is that a Julia Donaldson............?

Johnny Marr has just boarded my train at Stockport and is sitting two seats behind me.
But I'm too scared to chat to him as I have a shyness that is criminally vulgar.
Why not go and ask him if he also votes against MES in the various smurfs threads we are inundated with. Also does he know Pat Mooney?

Go and say hello and thanks, if you like his music he will be pleased to know, just as long as you don't try to sit on his lap, people I know who have met him say he is great to talk to, he is human after all, unlike Misery.....

I enjoyed the gig last night though the band i wasnt convinced about. Talented musicians clearly but there was no rapore amongst them, there was nothing between them. They just stood on the spot and played.

Highlight was the first live airing of Darling I hug a pillow and let me kiss you for the first time in years. Good solid ending with Speedway. Piss easy stage to invade and the security weren't heavy handed apart from two males who legged it some distance down the aisle only to be met by 2 security bods on the stage at the front.
I was on the front row of the balcony. Great view.
Tuesday night in St Petersburg (Florida, not Russia) we go again....
