The Smiths & Morrissey thread

People seem to be convinced that that is Morrissey in the second photo near the banner which I assume says Manchester

Yes saw this a week or so ago. Does look similar, but not convinced. He was quite the shy type as we know and very much in the closet. Would he have gone all that way on his jack Jones (which it looks like) to go on a gay pride march?
No mention of it in his book or anyone else.... As I say..... Looks like him but I don't know...

That has to be him.

Morrissey's very beloved mother - and best friend, Elizabeth Dwyer, has passed away.

A service will be held in Dublin where Elizabeth was born.

All are welcome.

The "all are welcome" bit is a little crazy. Every Moz loon in the land will head over there and turn it into a circus - and also the social distancing aspect if it too.

He looks weird as fuck without a guitar ! Even as a kid growing up used to see him quite often, with a guitar.

I've watched quite a few interviews with him, very very deep at times, but his passion is incredible, if anyone ever wondered what kind of mindset and dedication you need to reach the top of your profession, then JM is a great example of that.

Johnny is a top man. Never really engaged with talk of a Smiths reunion and just did his own thing with some good bands. Only in the last few years has he even started to play Smiths songs live and does them justice. Also walked past him, his wife and lad at City a few years ago and he's about 5 foot tall!!
