Been running the numbers on the squad for next season, and I still cant understand Mancini freezing players out. From my count we have 21 "senior" players who will be part of the plans for the new season, however, I do understand that we still have business to do.

GK
1. Hart
2. Taylor
3. Pantilimon

RB
4. Richards
5. Zabaleta

LB
6. Kolerov
7. Clichy

CB
8. Toure.K
9. Kompany
10. Lescott

MID
11. De Jong
12. Barry
13. Milner
14. Toure.Y
15. Silva
16. SWP (Still TBC)
17. Johnson.A
18. Weiss

STK
19. Dzeko
20. Aguero
21. Tevez (Still TBC)

Full Squad (U21) - Savic, Boyata, Balotelli

Not in squad: Bridge, Onuoha, Johnson.M (on loan), Santa Cruz, Bellamy, Adebayor.

BM has basically said that the squad isnt big enough, and we are looking to bring 2-3 players in (which I think depends on if Tevez leaves), however, we are also looking at the possibility of SWP leaving.... which by these numbers would still keep us under the 25 man squad.

Can anyone find any logic in what were doing? becuase to me it make obvious sense to include Onuoha and Bellamy in the squad, or at least not rule them out all together without replacements.

mancini wants his way, he doesnt like those players (whether its on a personal or a professional level, I think its both really cause frankly the guys you mentioned are gash, minus Onuoha and Bellamy on a good day).

Onuoha should still be registered I think, good little player.

More than the 2-3 incomings i've mentioned. Dont see it.

My guess is that they are going to have to include a couple of the U21 home grown players at the club, inorder to meet the required quota for club trained and UK players

I think Roberto is from the same mould as Mourinho, Wenger, Ferguson - they have to be in charge and the compilation of a squad of their own is central to their plan. Marwood an' Cook might do the transfer stuff but Mancini would still tell them that MCFC won't win owt without X, Y and Z in the squad so get 'em signed up.

Yes but we are still 4 players under the allowance, and potentially Tevez and SWP are leaving. I just cant see us being in the market for 6 players

maybe, but you cant deny theres problems on a personal level with bellamy and adebayor, atleast. I mean, we cant know this but it just seems that way doesnt it.

doubt he has a problem with the rest of them, but Crocky is just plain bad and Onuoha doesnt feature in his plans (or doesnt want to be 5th choice for a position).

But my point here is that would you not at least register some players to make the numbers up? Lets say we get hit with injuries at the start of the season? At least there would be experienced players available to fall back on.

well we dont know who mancini will choose to register come the end of the transfer window. if he doesnt sign anyone and doesnt sell the seemigly un-sellable, he will most likely register them and make them work for their "generous" wages in the carling cup.

You dont need to register players for the carling cup mate, only the Prem and the Champs League.

Unregistered Prem players can play in the Carling Cup and FA Cup
